Web Developer: Boulder, Colorado

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 depending on qualifications

Start Date: Immediately

Boulder, Colorado web-development company seeks an experienced web application developer to work on Ruby on Rails projects for a wide range of clients. Required:

  • Extensive experience developing web applications
  • Proven track record of delivering quality web development projects on time and on budget
  • Excellent knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented programming and general programming skills
  • Excellent knowledge of relational database design and SQL
  • Excellent knowledge of the web and HTTP
  • Excellent knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented programming and general programming skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in teams

Preferred:

  • More than three years experience developing web applications
  • Proficiency in developing web applications using Ruby on Rails
  • Proficiency in developing web applications using Java and related technologies (e.g. Struts, Hibernate, WebObjects, Tomcat, JBoss and Jetty)
  • Proficiency in developing web applications using .NET and related technologies (e.g. ASP.NET, C# VB.NET)
  • Proficiency in developing web applications using other web languages such as PHP, ColdFusion, or ASP
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Ajax
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server and Oracle
  • Proficiency in Linux and Apache administration
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field

Details:

This position calls for full-time employment at our offices in Boulder, Colorado. You must be able to legally work in the United States (sorry, but we are not able to sponsor work visas).

You must be able to effectively communicate with our clients, management staff, and other employees; and have the ability and desire to learn challenging new skills. You must also be willing to adapt to new ways of approaching web development based on current usability research.

Although our projects span a wide range of technologies (e.g. Java, PHP, Ruby on Rails, ColdFusion, ASP, .NET, Perl, Flash, XML, WebObjects) and platforms, we are currently developing all new work in Ruby on Rails. We encourage constant learning and help whenever possible with internal and external training.
