Project Overview

Fingertip Formulary offers a variety of unique data and marketing solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, as well as a wealth of drug coverage information for health care providers. Foraker Labs has built two primary web applications, and has recently developed several mobile applications.

Analytics ®, a Ruby on Rails web application, is a set of advanced web-based reporting tools that provide in-depth insight, analysis and comparison of more than 1500 drug formulary positions across multiple parameters within seconds.

Publisher ®, another Ruby on Rails web app, is a suite of secure custom extranet sites for the pharmaceutical industry featuring real-time generation of high-quality PDF documents with dynamic health plan formulary information.

Over the past three years numerous distinct Analytics platforms have been implemented as Fingertip Formulary’s clients in the healthcare industry adopt the system as an essential tool in their strategic product, marketing and analysis efforts.

As the Fingertip Formulary healthcare information database has expanded, both of these systems have been enhanced too.

Within Analytics, historical trend data now spans more than three years, making the trending reports increasingly useful as indicators and predictors of drug performance in the market. New data elements have been added into the system, including health plan lives coverage data, in-depth drug restrictions data, and drug prescription co-pay data. The charting engine has continued to evolve to include regional coverage maps as data down to the county level has become available.

Within Publisher, health plan lives coverage data, in-depth drug restrictions data, and drug prescription co-pay data has been added. Design features such as custom plan or tier status names, plan bolding or highlighting, and physician name customization have been added as well as the system continues to grow to meet the changing needs of its customers.
