(Boulder, CO) November 9, 2007—On Thursday, November 8, 2007, Foraker Design, a Boulder, Colorado-based custom web development firm, hosted an open house to celebrate World Usability Day. The Open House took place at Foraker Design's Boulder office.

The event drew user experience professionals and managers as well as university students hoping to gain a real-world view of usability. The occasion included networking, tours of Foraker Design's offices and informal demonstrations of Foraker Design's usability lab, software, and processes. “These events are great for bringing a greater understanding to the community of the importance of usability,” says Stirling Olson, President of Foraker Design.
World Usability Day was founded to ensure that the services and products important to life are easier to access and simpler to use. The focus of this year's World Usability Day was healthcare.
Foraker Design's usability research includes testing and shaping the user experience on health-related websites. This knowledge and experience places Foraker Design in a unique position to effectively contribute knowledge and awareness.
