		<description>Hey Harrison,

Glad you like it. Can&#039;t say I invented the idea... but it comes in real handy. Thanks for stopping by!

		<description>Wow, Derek!

That card sorting idea is kinda brilliant, if you don&#039;t mind me saying :).

And yes, user navigation is heavily influenced by a system&#039;s language, so testing navigation on paper before coding anything is a great idea, too.

Thanks so much for answering my question! I hope I get to work someplace that integrates usability testing into the work process as thoroughly as Foraker Labs does.

Best,

		<description>Hi Harrison,

We do indeed conduct usability testing on written content only. It might be a card sort to gauge the information scent of navigation labels... or paper prototype testing with simple navigation schemes and article content. Sometimes we mimic complex app functionality in the paper studies as well (e.g. mobile apps). We then move on to higher-fidelity testing on beta systems, as well as live systems.

Hope that helps!

<description>Of course, Derek! Thanks for getting back to me. I actually have a quick question for you...

When Foraker Labs designs or redesigns websites/apps, do you conduct usability testing on the written content alone? After all, many usability errors result from language confusion.

As a recent graduate, I&#039;m trying to get a feel for work processes in development projects.

Thanks for entertaining my curiosity,

		<description>Hey Harrison,

Thanks! I agree that Ginny&#039;s book is a great resource... thanks for suggesting it.
